Abstract

During of the WONCA World Congress 2025, held in Lisbon, Portugal, representatives of the Mexican Council for Certification in Family Medicine actively participated in academic and international networking activities; reaffirming Mexico’s commitment to professional quality and the strengthening of family medicine in Latin America. The activities included an academic visit to the Marginal Family Health Unit and a bilateral meeting with the Portuguese Association of General and Family Medicine (APMGF) and the presentation of six works in e-poster format and an international panel on the Online Objective Structured Clinical Examination (online OSCE), a pioneering strategy in the evaluation of clinical skills for certification in Family Medicine in Mexico. These meetings allowed for the sharing of experiences, the strengthening of institutional ties, and progress in the search for criteria of reciprocity and international cooperation to certify and recertify specialists in family medicine in countries of the Ibero-American region.
