Abstract

Drug use has increased significantly worldwide, especially in recent decades, with serious repercussions for health, the economy, work, and productivity. Drug addiction takes on greater relevance when it involves medical personnel, not only because of the impact on the health of the user, but also because of the safety of patients. This often underestimated problem is exacerbated by factors such as high stress levels, easy access to psychoactive substances, and the physicians’ own personal circumstances. This research presents a review of drug use among clinical physicians.
