Staphylococcus aureus is a pathogen that causes tissue infections of variable severity, with high resistance to antibiotic use. We present the clinical case of a patient with type 2 diabetes and systemic arterial hypertension who presented eczema caused by Staphylococcus aureus with initial treatment failure, who underwent culture with antibiogram to guide therapeutic management, showing clinical improvement. This ailment recurrently affects susceptible patients; therefore, we must have clinical suspicion and provide a comprehensive approach as primary care physicians.
