Abstract

Infectious diseases began to gain importance when humans began to live in large urban centers, when outbreaks of a disease began to be recorded and became historically important. Some diseases have shown certain similarities or parallels throughout history. Some of these patterns can be explained by political and social movements, which makes it possible for major pandemics to have a pattern of repetition.
